Show off your Red sex-links!! [[pictures included]] !! (:

I have RSL but they are a little different although they are the exact same age and of the same parents. One has a puffy tail with a little black involved....the other.....well here is a pict of them beside each other...you reckon one might be a cockrel? That black streak behind the first one is a feather on the ground from a BSL.These are about 12 weeks old

These look like Production Reds or standard hatchery Rhode Island Reds. What are the parent stock. For RSL I use a RIR male and RIW females. I have used RIR male and Delaware females and the female chicks look like the RIR father and the male chicks look like the Delaware mothers. The female chicks of a RIR/Del cross do not have any white on their feathers. The female RIR/Del cross look like RIR.

Those are probably my favorite chickens! I have a "Barnyard Mix". There are silkies, RSL's, turkens, (there are probably others that I don't know of) and some that just are a mix of them all!! They lay big beautiful brown eggs!

Sweetest chicken I have! Her name is Meg she just started laying 2 days ago! Her first egg was a huge double yolk egg! When should I expect another egg?

She may lay an egg most every day. Usually I the beginning when the birds start laying they may skip several days before they lay another egg. You just never know. All birds are different. Also it is not uncommon for a new layer to lay double yolks. Good luck and have fun...
