They are one of the sweetest birds out there. Just an all around great chicken. My girl Reba makes me smile every day.

Keep posting progress reports. Here are some pics of some of my chicks. They are Heritage RIR, RC RIW, a BO, some mutts which are from 2nd generation RSLs so some of the chicks are black and some white with black on their wing feathers. There are 4 age groups from 8 weeks to 3/4 weeks.

The white chicks are Rose Comb Rhode Island Whites. The dad is a Rose Comb Rhode Island White so some of the mutts have Rose Combs and some are Single Combs.

Here are some of the teenagers. This is a temporary pen. They got moved to a new coop and pen today. Three chicks are mutts and the rest are RC RIW.
