They are Basque hens. It's a little weird because you say Basque hen even when your talking about a rooster. Here is information about the breed.

This is my Crested Cream Legbar. I hatched 8 chicks from him 3 weeks ago and they are doing great!

Unfortunatly I had to re-home him last Saturday because he was making a lot of noise early morning!







My Silver Laced Wyandotte from last year (25 weeks)




And finally my very gentle Exchequer Leghorn (18 weeks in pic)

I saw the pic of the Maradunna Basque hen...there is a forum I belong to that has lots of info on the Euskal Oiloa breed. We are trying to bring the breed to its traditional state. A friend of mine is trying to raise Gorrias , but has a beautiful Maradunna Roo. The main problem is the lack of yellow legs and too much black in the body of the Gorrias. Interesting stuff.
