This is Dodger. He was supposed to be a black copper maran. Clearly he isn't! I'm wondering if he has somehow carried the cuckoo maran gene?

His legs look yellow, are they? If so than he's not a cuckoo marans, as they have white legs.

I think they are yellow- I'll have to check tomorrow morning. I wonder what concoction he is! I'm pretty sure his breeder doesn't have any barred rock...

That's interesting! I got him as a chick- he was with other black copper marans. At least he was free the lady who hatched them was over run- sales not as good as she had hoped.
