Fred the EE loud and proud
I love how his neck poofs out when he crows! My Gandalf does that too. (Showing my newbie-ness) I hope you don't mind me asking but what's EE stand for?
12 weeks old and not happy at all that I put him up on a surface to get his picture. He wouldn't stand up straight.
He looks so fluffy and grumpy hehee.

EE stands for Easter Egger, as they lay colorful eggs as hens.

Okeydokey, thanks! :D
So my Americauna would be an EE for short then?

No if your Amerucana is full blooded aneruacana then he is not called an EE. Ee's are mutts in the chicken world. Don't get me wrong I love EE's and chicken mutts a d have EE's my self. But true ameruacanas and EE's are different.

Okeydokey, that makes sense. I'm not sure if my guy is full blooded or not, he looks a little like a Pheonix too. Thanks for the info! :D

I did read that that 99.9 % of ameruacanas bought from hatcherys are not true anerucanas but really are EE's. look for the spelling. Idk if I'm spelling the true anerucana correct but a EE anerucana is spelt with an "I" (Americana) or if its spelt with a double "c" (aneruccana) or a double "n"(anerucanna) then those are all "fake" ameruacana and are really EE's. about the only way to have a full blood amerucana is by getting them from a breeder. Still learning myself but that's what my research has told me!
Your roo is very handsome regardless of what he is!!!

Your rooster definitely not a blue wheaten Ameraucana. He might be a lavender or an EE I can't see good enough to tell

I got him from a local feed store that's family run. They are super nice there and that's where I got my RIR hens too. So he's probably not pure blooded then. Thanks! I can't wait to see what kind of little ones he and my RIRs will make. :)
