Show off your roosters

Thanks! His comb is slightly forked, too. The back of his comb ends in two separate blades, each point on a different one, kind of like devil horns. You can't quite tell in the photo though. sumi, that's a handsome rescue! With yellow shanks I wonder what is behind him, and if the mottling is from distant American Game or Speckled Sussex.

Illia, can we see his comb? My husband calls the breeds with forked combs something unrepeatable lol We both love them though. Eddie is a very handsome boy and the sweetest thing. He is so friendly with everyone and he just adores me. But show him another cockbird... He nearly killed my young cockerel when he got out of his pen.

HighStreetCoop - I've got a few sons of his that look like him that I'll be getting rid of in a few months.

And to think, we're on the same coast!

Here's some more comb shots. I couldn't get the best, though - And he doesn't like being picked up, so that's out of the question.

They're a bit lop-sided, apparently!

I am totally in love with this boy!

I'll share my boys.

My Ameracauna

My Cochin. I absolutely adore him. He's so sweet. He's only about 18 weeks here, but he is getting huge.

Love the Ameraucana! I'll always have a soft spot for Ameraucana boys.

Lenny can be fresh, and feisty, but a good boy who is great with the kids and his girls. He has personality. My big boy Little Roo Roo (Cochin) is sweet and quiet and my favorite. He's a gentle giant, and I love his coos and vocalizations when I come into the run. He's good with his girls and never questions his place in the order. His ways seem to have won over the majority of the girls; they follow him while Lenny seems to be paired with Lulu, the other Ameracauna. He lets me scoop him up and never runs. If I had to keep one rooster he'd be the one I'd keep.
