I only hatched a few from this cross, I actually wanted to keep the hens. But, the neighbors dog got all of those chicks except this rooster. I don't like how large his comb and wattles got, but he has a very good temperament. I culled his father at about 9 months of age, he was mean as a snake. This rooster is very calm to work around, is good to his hens and has never challenged me once.

This is my Cream Legbar/Brown Leghorn cross rooster. I am going to use him to breed to my Easter egger hens next spring.

he is gorgeous! what was male/female you crossed? I am interested in crossing chickens but have to learn a lot of things. I would like to know what characteristics male/female pass on.
