I've been hand feeding every once in a while since they were 2 weeks old.
I have been hand feeding mine crickets a couple times this week. hes only 5 weeks trying real hard for a nice one. We had a phoenix here for a while that was my sisters. Meanest bird I have ever met.

Ok I am jealous. My roosters won't hand feed unless it's greenery.

I hand fed his flock as chicks over 2 yrs ago and he never would do it then. As he has grown he and I have learned much. Regular feed nope, but give him dandelion greens and he is a happy guy but don't hold em in your palm. He is not gentle over getting his greens. He will run over his hens to get to them.Big bulldozer.

We only have one (Out of 10) that has any attitude and if you look at him he turns and runs.

Interesting.

Think my Australorp cockerel is trying to crow at a little over 2 months old. Time he goes to his new home! Glad a friend is willing to take him, now to just catch the lil bugger.
