4-h? as if it was an apa show he wouldn't placed due to coloring. our livestock shows allow EE's to be called ameraucana when they really arent and i find it a disgrace to the breed to continue to allow ee's to still be called ameraucana. it's hard to come by true ameraucana as most folks do get theres from hatcheries which mislable there birds (but now usually have that they are ee's and not true ameraucana). i have to ee pullets i could let my kids show as ameraucana but wouldnt really get anything and would be going against themselves and would get a 1st and 2nd place ribbion...ask those on the ameraucana thread what they think if he is a poor typed silver or just an ee...if he came from a hatchery he is 100% ee though.
