My favorite chicken, Whitey. Goofy the Isa brown is next to him(RIP) Whitey and Mrs. Whitey(creative name, I know lol) and "their" chicks, which are actually an austrolorp/BO and an austrolorp/Isa brown, Mrs. Whitey hatched them.

So pretty and isn't it so neat how they never notice the difference in the chicks they hatch to them they are just theirs doesn't matter color or size.

Thank you! We've had them for almost two years, they were our first flock and the reason I fell in love with chickens.

Thank you. Yes, they are such a lovely breed. I know that they're a bit flighty for some people, but we just love them.


I'm so happy that I have a couple of broodys that were ready to set and I was able to put a few of the girls egg under them while still fertile (they were still fertile after 3 weeks!). I'm hoping that they hatch, we have a week to go for some and two weeks for the rest. Hopefully Hephaestus will live on through his progeny.
