This is David Bowie, my new (I'm guessing) Black Australorp rooster. I' currently trying to convince my cochin to sit on his eggs.

You can't convince them to sit.

You will have to wait for nature to take it course.

Put some ceramic eggs in the nest boxes. It also depends on the breed, mine is a cochin. Most hens have had the broodiness bred out of them.
