Handsome Roo
He's beautiful!
Good lord... just had this monster brought into work... he's easily 2x the size of a normal EE rooster. If I didn't know better I would swear he had oriental blood... of course being me I immediately told the owners I'd take him.

And here... that's his cage on the left, which as you can see he's so tall his tail and head touch the roof... well here on the right is a cage with a normal sized EE in it... to give a size comparison.

Still trying to think of names. King? Big Daddy? Behemoth? He's something to behold, for sure.
Beautiful !
Cuckoo Marans, if you source from a good line with dark eggs, will produce Olive Egger sexlinks. With the Dominique, that rose comb combined with the genes for pea comb result in cushion combs. A Barred Rock crossing could yield a variety of shades, from teal blue to light olive green, and you would still retain the pea comb. If you used a Barred Holland, you would be sure of blue layers only.Beautiful !.![]()
I'm thinking of starting a sex-link EE project with my BBS AMs in the next year. For my hen I was considering a BR, Cuckoo Maran, or a Dominique (for the rose comb). Which do you think is the better choice?
He is Beautiful! But of course, I'm partial to BO's
He's a Handsome fella!
