I have pretty much stopped naming chickens but this is my bantam Calico Cochin boy. He is lovely to his ladies and keeps the giant up coming girls in line. No small feat when they are twice his size at 3 months old.

You don't name them? How do you get their attention? Just a general "hey you, chicken!"

Pretty much. I had to stop naming them when all my favorite grow outs ended up being roosters... Naming birds I eat in a few months gets old. I do have a special serama chick that I have named Penguin. Of course Penguin will inevitably be male and find a new home as serama chicken dinner sounds like a still empty belly.

I understand that! As you can see I had a rooster boom too and since I knew by two weeks and they look really similar I named them so they know who i'm yelling at. Iv'e given away two not pictured, but one looked the same the other was white.
