Crowing
I love ur chickens just laying there chillin' out in the towel!! LOL!I haven't really read all of the posts in this thread but from those I did read, I use silver brightening shampoo in the first tub of water. I show my White Leghorns and my Rhode Island Whites so I bathe them first. In my second tub of water I put approximately a cup of white vinegar to help cut the shampoo. In my third tub of water is just plain water. This is the way I have been doing it for years. After bathing I let a lot of the water drip off before the bird goes into the first rinse and then the same procedure after the first and second rinse. I have some towels folded lengthwise and roll the birds in them like a burrito so I can attend to their legs and feet and their combs and wattles which will be sticking out at each end. Many of the top breeders do spray their birds feathers and many use olive oil on the combs and wattles. Many people transport their birds in show boxes. I made some wire cages for my birds.
