Thanks for the info about Greenfire Farms, I was seriously considering buying some from him.................

Yep the bantam cluubs offer a wide variety of breeders

Sometimes if you go to different poultry shows APA..they will have extra stock for sale or will sell hatching eggs..You can meet people who can help you..seeing in person helps and whos winning ect...

I found a picture of Jerry Bonds with one of his golden sebrights. I have also read several articles regarding his love for the breed. Maybe I should start by attending some local shows, just to see how thing work. I think I may see a great show quality bird in my future (I HOPE!!) Never realized there was so many details involved in showing. Thanks all for you information.

Here's a link with the picture:

I did find that picture also.

And, yes, you should attend some shows. You'll be surprised at what you see. I raised hatchery Sebrights, and when I went to Ohio Nationals back in November, I was amazed at the difference in a show quality Sebright. There is no comparison. They're beautiful little birds-a little harder to raise than my hatchery birds were, but beautiful birds.

I agree with blackdotte and would also like to add that the roosters have all full long hackles. Sebright roosters should not have hackles that are extending past the shoulders if they do then there a DQ (to me the Gold Sebright roosters I see on there look to be DQ's).

Agreed again! All the males pictured, Golden & Silver, would be disqualified. The type, as much as I can see, is poor & their prices are ridiculous. I'd bet that these are reproduced hatchery birds.
I don't know what poultry world their name & stock "carries a lot of weight in" but it's not the APA/ABA show world.
PM me if you'd like & I'll send you contact info for several quality breeders.
