Show quality silkie rooster?

His comb is too bright, has a gap in his wing feathers, & a short little poof on his head. Those are his imperfections.

The first pictures of my handsome silkie roo, his foot feathers were a lot fuller until my sister's silkie started pulling his foot feathers out.

Just have to let him feather back in I reckin. Show birds should be penned by themselves, especially in the months coming up to the show.

Agree with @Gray Farms he's not show quality. Nor is he show breeder quality.
He may get into a show without being DQ'd but I wouldn't see him doing well.
If you want to breed him I'd find some real quality hens but then with doing that it would be easy to pick up a nice cockerel while at it and save a few generations of breeding.
But all that aside there's no class for LF silkies so if that's your goal then showings going to be out anyways.

Agreed, I personally wouldn't use him for breeding unless I had to. In the UK I think they have Large Breed and Bantam Silkies. But in the US we don't they are bantams. And the standard has weight requirements.

I don't believe him to be a LF but poster has insisted before that he is.
I was curious of his weight myself but that's never been posted that I'm aware of.
From pics he appears normal hatchery silkie. IDK.

I'd like to know the weight as well. Also knowing his background would help "breeder or hatchery". Its very common for hatchery Silkies to be much larger than the standard calls for. I bought some once that were as big as LF Brahmas.
