Show Quality?

The first Polish shown has a decent tail angle, but the other one has too high of a tail angle. Needs to be 45 degrees above horizontal.

Otherwise, they're both really skinny, have too big of combs with too many points (needs to be a V comb, more than the two points to make the V and there's possibly single comb hiding in there) and their lacing isn't very good.

Sorry. But, hatchery Polish are indeed hard to find good quality ones with, especially concerning weight and substance.

They're young though. The first one shown may fill out over time and become pretty nice. But, the comb and color won't take him too far. But he's got better color than the second one.

Thank everyone... I was just wondering.

I LOVE Cackle. When we ordered our chicks we got 6 buff orpington bantams, 6 golden laced polish, and 6 silkies. Only one didn't make it (a polish) and only two had pasty butt (two buffs). They're all very pretty.

Will the quality get better as they breed, or will I have to buy some eggs from a breeder/buy a show quality silkie?
