show us your "mutt" breeds:)

Quote:
They will be a year this spring, they most certainly ARE laying and have been for a while. Your friend should be getting eggs. Are the hens new and just haven't adjusted, is he sure they are 1 year, and is he sure they just aren't stashing them somewhere?

I like the hen in the last pic. When we crossed our SLW roo on some black ameraucana hens to make EE's most of them looked like ameraucanas but they had the hatchery style lacing. She looks alot like the mix.
I am going to go through and see if I can find some pics of our mixes.

This is a Delaware/Barred Rock -- s/he is only about 2 weeks old, so I don't what the final result will look like.

I finally found some of our crosses.
The first pic is of the 2 cockerels we got from a welsummer rooster on a silver phoenix hen

The second pic is of the cockerel from the BBR OEGB hen that was mated by the F1 dunlaced rooster (1/2 solid dun, 1/2 silver laced)

Shanti ( I forgot her user name here) has the silver phoenix's other 2 pullets, one from the welsummer and the other from the RIR roo, maybe she will post pics of them.

Here are some of my mutts - the father is a barred rock and the mother a silver laced wyandotte. Amazing! All I can say is my pure-breds must not be! Haha!
