bit off the tangent but lately my rooster has been going CRAZY around nighttime and around 15 minutes before they are meant to be coming inside he starts clucking and pacing back and forth to come inside when he normally just waits patiently.. he also starts flying up on anything to just get inside when he's usually not this desperate to get in. my old roosters used to act like this and a few days later they got eaten by a fox. is this something to be concerned about? when I bring him in, there is always at least ONE cat lounging about but there's also cats hanging around all day. I lock them inside securely and the windows are mainly shut except for around 1 or 2 centimetres open (because they can't shut the full way anyway.

If he was around the other roosters and witnessed the attack, he may be scared of the fox coming back. Do you lock him up when it's dark out?

Im going to post so many photos, so i’ll just spoiler the extras incase anyone wants to see them
By the way, i have had way more chickens, but unfortunately, dont have photos for some, and the rest i got as adults so :idunno

nope he wasn't around the other roosters (we got him after) . we lock them up before it gets dark, so today we locked them up around 8:20. Its still brightish when they come in, before it used to be a little more dull but now he's so panicked and desperate to get in that we bring him in before the sun goes down.
