This is a Partridge Cochin and Welsummer cross that looks like a bit like Black Copper Marans. She lays pink eggs with white speckles.

next I'm going to try crossing easter egger rooster and cuckoo Maran together and see what I get, home I get olive Eggers or brown egg layers
also I want to try crossing pekin bantam frizzle and silkie or pekin bantam frizzle/rheinlander bantam cross and see the outcome

I adore crosses, but mine are always just beautiful not funny at all.
But. I do have this lovely little ee girl with the prettiest platinum and rust colored feathers...

I also have a beautiful Pekin bantam hen (this is a old picture tho, since she was a pullet) don't own a new one right now. But anyway, i bought some Pekin bantam chicks last year and i was picking what chicks i wanted when i saw this black beauty and i was like is she for sale, and the breeder was like sure i can sell her to you but she's not purbreed, and i was like that's fine, what's she mixed with, and the breeder said she didnt know, she said her dad is a pekin bantam and her mom is a Pekin bantam mix. But she does not know what she's mixed with, any ideas?

Here's my other easter Egger silkie cross. I have 2 and one is black and the other one is white.
They have the same mom, she's red easter Egger and they also have the same dad and he's a Grey silkie.
So it was a sureprise to se that the chicks where black and white. But i have since then learned that my Grey silkie rooster is giving a lot of black silkie chicks also, so the black color came from him and the mother must have give the white color.

Just really funny that non of the chicks where in the same color as the parents

This is Chicken Hawk AKA "Hawk" - daddy was a Golden Polish but mother looked like a Gold Laced mix. Hawk would be considered Bantam sized. Baby photo and photo at around a year old?
