Showering my ducks

My garden is next to both of my chicken/duck yards. When I am watering my garden I discovered that my ducks love to be showered. If I stop, they all come right up to the fence and "talk" loudly to me. I should say "laugh" as that is what it sounds like. Their laughing always makes my husband and me laugh too. So much fun! I have 5 female ducks, 3 brown and 2 white.

That is fun. I too love to hear their happy grunts. Do you have one of those lawn sprinklers that move slowly back and forth? I bet they would love it!

I'm on my way shortly to buy one which will go on my other garden and cover part of their new yard. When they are all in one place I will take their picture and change it from the one I have here when they were little.

[Duck Drover]

We sometimes set up a sprinkler for the ducks and they love it. I give my incubator hatched ducklings a shower before their bath and they get so excited when I turn on the water. I live in the Seattle area and the ducks love the rain, making them ideal backyard pets. The chickens run for cover when it rains while the ducks wag their tails and dance in the rain.

I love that sound! My husband and I call it "Joker Duck".
