Okay, here is a question for all of you Silkie lovers....

Shouldn't the variety be broken down into ShowGIRLS AND ShowBOYS?
How would you like to be a cockerel or rooster and have everyone calling you a ShowGIRL?

Just sayin'.

I suppose it is hard to look and act manly though when they look the way they do?
It is probably hard to sing the theme to "2 1/2 Men" when you have a naked neck and breast and poofy boa-like feathers all over your body.

If the naked necked silkies AKA Showgirls ever make it to be a standardized variety (or even a separately distinct breed from silkies - it is possible) then the name Showgirls will have to be changed. There has already been many discussions that I am aware of.

I agree though, I feel bad for all the Naked necked silkie boys being called showgirls everywhere, I wonder what kind of complex those poor boys have?
