I am heading to a show in a few weeks and was thinking I would toss in a few mismarked birds possibly. The show is offering an AOV award and I figured since I am going why not take a couple birds along for the AOV class. Plus it would give me a chance to have them looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. I dont claim to be a pigeon expert by any means. I was thinking that I would take a Classic Oriental Frill- Blondinette or two. They have white in both their faces and chests so dont conform to actual standard. My question is could I call them "pied" and put them in AOV? This has been suggested to me before. Also if I did this what do I put as their breed on the entry form and what is their variety? From what I have seen at shows usually people have breed as Classic Oriental Frill and variety as Blondinette. However in Blondinette there are various colors as well so wouldnt this be variety? I generally dont show pigeons and rollers which I have shown are generally more straight forward it seems. Any help or suggestions would be awesome!
