The primary thing to look for with any show bird is conformation. You need to find the breed standards for those (which I understand these are not one specific breed, but rather a variety of 2 different breeds), then choose birds that are the closest examples of the breed you can find. Other than that, you'd need to bathe them and make sure there are no broken feathers so they look their best
