Shrimp is chicken feed

WOWSERS!!!! I cracked an egg last night and it was positively red-orange. What a beautiful thing-and it sure helped make some yummy fried potato patties. The yolks are darker than they were just a couple of days ago. I guess that the pigments from the shrimp hulls had to get well saturated from the ovary to the finished product.

This is such an awesome tip! I was just having shrimp and thought - hm, would my hens like those?! I have 4 young hens, and been trying lots of new things lately.

I was going to bring them those tomorrow morning, but googled ahead of time and ended up here! Looks like shrimp is better than I ever expected!

Anxious to see the effect for myself! )
