Shrimp Shells?

I find myself not wanting to throw anything away wondering if it might be good for the chickens. Peeled and made some shrimp for New Years (Happy New Year). Then boiled the shells in water to make a little stock...

Looking at the boiled shrimp shells and wondering if there good to give the birds? If yes do I grind them or chop them or how do I give them to them or.... there going to the compost. Thanks

I just threw the tails out into the run, and they devoured them.

My Girls didnt like them.... they thought I was tricking them or something but they wouldnt eat them... they ate the crushed microwaved egg shells
