Is this chick shrink wrapped? It’s still alive and has poked this hole in the shell, but there’s a gap between the shell and the thick membrane, can’t see any chick, but it’s peeping and making progress. Day 20 Swedish flowers from my own flock. None of the other eggs have pipped yet.
Thank you!

I would give him 24 hours from whenever you first noticed the pip before you do anything. He's pipped through the shell which means he's not at risk of suffocation and your humidity is high enough were you shouldn't need to worry about shrink wrapping. He still needs time to finish absorbing the yolk and position himself for zipping. It's just a hard waiting game.

Ok thank you! It’s just not the usual pip with visible beak that I’m used to. Hope she breaks through and makes it, thanks!

I don’t think so. How long has it been pipped like that?
Mine needed a little help with moisture on the membrane, but it was about 24 hours after I noticed first pop and it was still not able to penetrate the membrane fully. Hatched successfully though and is a healthy little chick now!

It’s been pipped for 24 hours, my humidity has been 72-75 there’s no way for me to wet membrane because I would have to take the lid off
