At what humidity does an egg shrink wrap? I opened the incubator thinking no eggs had pipped and the humidity dropped to 35%. 2 eggs were pipped so far.

Did I shrink wrap the chicks?

One of the egg's membrane was exposed. The incubator was open for around 20-30 seconds.

Thank you!
Humidity is currently stable at around 46%. (Day 21)

I would be shocked if they get shrink wrapped, but I would like the humidity to be higher especially as more membrane gets exposed. When chicks are shrink wrapped you can tell. If you want, I would look up some pictures (warning there not very pleasant) so that you know what to look for. You can also send me a picture of the egg that has membrane exposed (that is, if you can get one without opening the incubator), if you want a second opinion. Can you tell what color the exposed membrane is?

P.S. i‘m almost positive they’re going to be just fine, i just want to make sure I didn’t miss anything. I don’t want you worry about all my questions :p

It's kind of whitish, and the pip is also in the center of the egg. I don't have a window in the incubator (homemade styrofoam) but I could try and get a picture when I re-fill the water.

The fact that you said whitish and not yellowish tells me that everything is going great. I’m not sure if this is one of your first hatches but I’m not very busy today so make sure to post with updates and any other questions you have!

I'll be sure to keep you updated :D

Thank you so much!
