Thanks. It's my first hatch as I'm sure you have probably guessed by now. I really hope these babies make it. I started with 12 and now I've got 8 all alive and kicking. The one with his big hole and the upside down pipper. The other 6 are all peeping and shaking so fingers crossed

I worried when I saw the upside down pip and checked to see if he'd broken through and he does have air and is peeping at me.

SO you have more that are making progress??? Hopefully when one gets out, this one will progress faster.. He's taken his time right now, he's obviously in NO rush, and we can't rush him, Keep this in mind we are on HIS schedule NOT yours, you many have a long night ahead of you..

First problem, the one that you have opened, lay him down. it's easier for them to absorb when they are laying down..

I know :/ as long as he makes it he can take as long as he likes. I'm on maternity leave so in home all the time so you think to just keep moistening him every 2 hours? I'm hoping all this rocking and peeping leads to some babies. The two that are trying to escape are mini silver appleyards, there are 4 in the incubator and 4 Indian runners.

I've incubated them all laid down so they're laid down. I went out the house for 2 hours and in that time he pipped but I don't know when. So he's been pipped at most 5 hours I'd say.

They've both made it through the night and his blood vessels have receded well. He's got a small amount of yolk left that I can see so he's sat in his egg waiting and peeping at me the upside down pipper has a large hole but I can still see some blood vessels so he's resting too and peeping and a third egg has externally pipped and is cracking the shell well
