I wouldn't open the 'bater if at all possible because you risk shrink-wrapping them if any of them have pipped externally and you didn't know it.

If it were me I would probably break the shell a little and look for veins, but I have NO patience when they slow down like that. I have lost too many by waiting, but I have lost a couple from breaking veins, so I have learned to really look for them. Good luck to you and I'm sure Dr. L has much more experience than I!

I'm really struggling with not going in there and doing that... Trying to just wait and see what she thinks.. I'm stressing and tense just sitting here thinking about them being in those eggs and slowing down

LOL...I am going back to work to teach summer school(only half day THANK GOODNESS) and have been glued to this thread my whole vacation!!! Hubby is totally making fun of me, but glad I found something enjoyable to do on vacaction! I tend to be a bit of a workaholic but chickens have cured me of that! I am in such a hurry to get home everyday now...LOL
