All good advice. No, wouldn't bathe first 12 - 24 hours, yes, if still 'glued down' would gently rinse in warm water, back into hatcher to dry. A oood way to keep it upright is to roll a soft washcloth into a do-nut and set the chick in it. DO give a few drops of poly-vi-sol [WITHOUT iron] enriched water every few hours. The donut supports the whole chick. When strong enough will take itself out. Should do fine. Would give it 48 - 72 hours before deciding to cull. Good luck!
