All six of mine were shrink wrapped. They all pipped but then stayed in same position for hours and hours. This time I actually let them all out carefully. Afterwards a few of them laid around for a long while and I worried they would die. But they didn't.
the reason I chose not to wait 24 hours or more for them to hatch is because the last time I did that, the poor chick peeped in her shell for more than 24 hours and I kept thinking she would make her way out and she didn't. Poor little thing died. So I know I must be doing something wrong with humidity or something, but all six of mine made it
I used my fingernail to carefully peel back the shell, etc. This may be bad advice but it worked for me.
