how do i know if my fully formed dead chicks are shrink wrapped or not...no internal pipping...what did i do wrong?what does shrink wrapped look like

It might be helpful if you can be more specific with your description? is it clingy to the chick? is it wet looking? does there seem to be any liquid in the sac?

shrink wrap happens after the chick pips. the membrane dries out from not enough humidity.. it sticks to the chik and keeps it from being able to move freely inside the shell .. as a result it cannot zip and hatch..

what you described is a chick that is not ready to hatch yet.. it has not even broken through the air sac.. if you have other eggs, let them go for a few days, or whatever it takes for them to hatch on their own....

the membrane cannot be dry if there is liquid in the air sac.. do you mean there is liquid in the part where the chick is? there is supposed to be liquid in there..

I suggest you just leave the bator closed and raise the humidity and wait..
