My humidity has not been over 55% on lockdown. My eggs are hatching, water in tray, 3 sponges along the sides and my humidity will not go up. I had 2 eggs this morning that were shrinkwrapped. I was able to get them out and save the chicks, (I know not to open it, but could see they were in trouble). Opening the incubator did not help my humidity, but not sure what to do.

I had a cup of warm water in there to begin with and it was very tall, and one of the chicks must have stepped on an egg and fell in. I pulled the cup of water out after that............. What kind of cover for my water?

I don't know... maybe you could try to tape screen to the cup, or square wire..... just a suggestion.

Good idea. I helped the last 2 chicks out last night. One is doing great and the other one is marginal. Sometimes with a day of rest, they come back strong.

I put sponges in the cups just in case. If you set under the vent holes you can add more water with a straw and syringe. Plug your vent holes and see if that helps. They are still getting fresh air from the holes in the bottom

Good idea on the sponges! I had sponges in but the vent holes open. It is colder than usual here and the air is dry. I have never had a humidity problem before!
