In the Brooder
(Was the knife Crimson Curse too?) Matteo held the gun in his hand, while he clutched his abdomen in pain. He pointed it at her, wincing at his pain.
Mabuka had just killed a human, and was carrying its head back to her home.
While her abode was only a damp, dark cave, it had been decorated with candles and chandeliers, and gorgeous artwork had been hung on the walls (she made holes and notches in the stone to hang things). Mabuka had to give herself a pat on the back, she was an excellent thief.
When she entered her cave, she took a match from her pocket and flicked its tip against the wall, making a small yellow flame appear. She lit the many candles that sat on a long, black table, and hung the human's head on a hook near a large shelf full of skulls.
She took a bottle of wine (which she had stolen, of course) off of the shelf of skulls and poured a small amount into a golden goblet, sighing tiredly. She leaned against the wall and drank deeply, thinking about life in general.

Matteo winced and shot her foot. He crawled closer to her, smelling her blood.
Colette whimpered in pain and limped back a couple of paces.

Matteo crawled faster. He hissed "Not too funny now, huh?" He bared his fangs, getting closer and closer, his desire for blood driving him past the pain.

(Her dagger is not made of the Crimson curse. If you really want to hurt her you could say he had one dagger made of the Crimson Curse that he hasn't yet used.)
Ivanca stepped closer, her eyes watching him carefully. "Return my dagger." She demanded with authority.

(It isn't. He'll just use it to get away.) He leapt at her and stabbed her neck, knowing she would get hurt for a few seconds. He took that as a head start, and dashed off.
Colette lept forwards and snatched the gun out of his hands. She desparetly limped towards the village.
