Raising chickens is like a box of chocolates...

That is very cool. I have seen a lot of questions on here from people about their chicken possibly laying two eggs in a day. This picture answers that question for me. I think everyone has a few weird eggs in their time, but this one is truly cool. I wish I could nominate it for picture of the month.

Of course so am I by knowing what you are talking about! Very cool eggs. Never seen anything like that! Thanks for sharing the picture.

Wow! I just got these eggs day before yesterday. I thought they were laid by my 2 silkies pullets but now I realize they are probably from the same bird. Just like the OPs; 2 eggs linked together, only mine detatched. I was wondering what the heck that tail thing was (coming off the top egg). Oh and sorry about the distracting Star Wars bowl and the shavings. Goofy girl layed it right in the middle of the coop floor. Yes, this would be the pullet's 1st egg. There's plenty of grit and shell out.

Love the siamese egg. I am glad I am not the only one whose gal lays odd eggs. My Black Star, Millie, laid this odd one. (Right on my kitchen floor!)
The egg on the left is what she laid in the morning and the one on the right she laid in the afternoon. It had 2 yolks. I think she was trying to lay siamese eggs as well.

All I can say is "OUCH" unless them being without the hard shell helped a bit.

I've had them come soft first with young pullets, not two at once!

Hello dsgard, did you ever get those Ameraucana chicks you were thinking on? I found some eggs to hatch, that are supposed to have Ameraucana's in them, at least the eggs are blue.
