Sicilian Buttercups

We had a Sicilian Roo for about a year. He was the friendliest rooster I’ve ever met! Acted just like a dog! Would roost in the garage as my Father in law would tinker with his classic cars, would follow us around the house and garden and would hop on the front porch railing and crow for his dinner before patiently waiting for us to see him to bed! It was a very sad day when a bobcat broke in and got him one night. Would love to have another one day!

I ordered chicks from Meyer Hatchery and ended up getting the adopt me bargain. One of them ended up being a Sicilian Buttercup. I have been reading that they do poorly in the cold. What can I do? I wish I could keep it but I'm not sure if I'm a good enough chicken owner to trust myself with a breed like this. I was thinking that I could sell it at a local fair once it was old enough. How much would you sell it for? If I do keep it what should I do to keep it healthy through the winter?
I live in New Hampshire.

should be perfectly fine. I wouldn't use any heat (coop fires scare me).

I have Leghorns up here in Alaska.. and they do fine. (yes, I know Leghorns aren't Buttercups, but they are another slim build hot weather breed).
