My Ozzy chick is really sick. She can't stand up, isn't eating or drinking, she can only flop around. I held her for most of the night. Put her back in her isolation cage, but I don't know what else to do. Anyone have any ideas?

I dipped her beak in water mixed with pedialite every 15 mins or so, but she wouldn't drink on her own. She didn't eat anything all day that I saw. She pooped once this am and it was solid/normal.

I'm not sure what you mean. She started this on Sat am. Couldn't stand, would only fall over or backwards. She can flap her wings. She can move her legs and feet.

I asked the lady I got her from. She suggested it may be a nutritional deficiency from the feed Excel. I started her on a new feed Sunday morning. She started eating and drinking on her own. She had two big poops. Started sitting more upright with support. I gave her a drop of vitamins, poly vi sol, Sunday night. She perked up right away. Ate and drank some more. Had another big poop and went to bed for the night.

At least she is eating & drinking, thats a good sign.

This does sound like a vitamin E and selenium deficiency called encephalomalacia, and the PolyVisol is good temporarily, but I would switch to a good poultry vitamin in the water. Also give a little scrambled egg daily for selenium. Here is some reading: http://www.thepoultrysite.com/disea...alacia-exudative-diathesis-muscular-dystrophy
