Sick 4 mo pullet! Need help!

An update: My girl has died, unfortunately. I added more food and water stations, and had given her probiotics to try and start her stomach up again as she was obviously not eating. So I saved her, and have been working with a vet to try and figure out what's going on in my flocks. Right now we're doing a course of Amprol to rule out severe Coccidiosis. After that, I'll most likely send in the last couple birds for testing. I'll keep you guys updated on what we find.

I'm so sorry you lost her:hugs

I'm glad you were able to find a vet to work with, hopefully getting some testing/necropsy will give you some answers. Please do keep us posted when you find out.

I know this is an old question and thread, but I thought I’d quickly chime in and tell you all the end of this story!

Turns out that the tests came back positive for the dreaded Merecks Disease. And we all know how that goes. So, I’ve been waiting for the dying to stop (spent a few weeks having a bird or two dead every couple days), and now that it has I’m taking stock and researching my options.

Thank you for your valued time and advice! It’s too bad that in this case the results were something that we can’t treat.
