Sick Americauna -- standing still like a statue (what is this?)

My 4 month old Americauna is having very odd/sick behavior. I noticed yesterday when I let all my four girls out to roam the garden that she was standing still like a statue. Obviously this is uncharacteristic for a chicken. She was standing separate from the flock and a little weak in her legs. Eventually she snapped out of it and started roaming with the flock, eating and acting normal only to fall down later almost in a seizure state and be attacked by the others. They normally are very friendly with each other.

I kept her separate in a box last night but today she seems a little better. Still not quite her frisky self, nor as strong and vigorous as she usually is but I've let her free range a little and she is eating just fine.

She does not have any noticeable wounds, discharge, or trouble breathing.

She is definitely not as strong on her feet but also has not toppled over again. But I often find her just standing staring at the ground almost hunched over when the others are pecking away.

Any advice would be appreciated.

My Buff Orp did the same thing about a month ago. She was normally very friendly and would come if called. but she just stood there as if she was a child that knew she was in trouble. I thought she might of eaten a strange bug that left her wondering if she should of done that or not. It was very odd. The sad part of the story was that we found her deceased in the coop the next morning. not sure if the two are related or if she just fell off the perch and hit her head in the night. because like your hen, she did snap out of it the rest of the day.
Hopefully your story will have a better ending. Sorry I couldnt give you a better reply

Did you ever find out what was happening with your bird? My Easter egger who is 8 months is acting the exact same.

Update for our Easter Egger: She stayed inside last night and got nice and warm. This morning she was back to her normal self and is eating and drinking and walking around with no signs of leg issues, etc. We are going to keep an eye on her for a few more hours and give electrolytes and a scrambled egg, but the best we can come up with is she went into shock after a predator run-in yesterday.
