Sick Baby Chick!

I have some chicks that I picked up Wednesday. Their 3 days old and one of the babies isn’t doing well. She hasn’t grown as much as the others and is barely eating. Tonight she drank a lot of water and then threw it up a few minutes later I’m never had this problem and don’t know what to do. Please help!

Her butt isn’t pasted over. Her crop isn’t very full and felt fairly hard before she drank some water. She’s continuing to drink a lot.

Sounds like she may have a blockage - could she have eaten some bedding or something hard to digest?
Drinking a lot - they are usually trying to clear something.

She could have eaten a small piece of pine bedding. Is there anything I can do to help her if a blockage is the case?

Yes she did a little while ago. It looked normal to me.

If it pooped and it looked normal I wouldn't think blockage

You can give her few small chunks of coconut oil. Lightly massage the crop, but if she's been drinking a lot, take care not to press fluids back up or she'll aspirate.
