I recently hatched a bunch of Black Sex Links, and we're having fun naming them and playing with them. But one of the chicks, whom we call Charlie, seems fat. But when I picked him up, I discovered that the whole right side of his body is swollen, not fat. His skin doesn't look inflamed or irritated, and except for being a little slow, Charlie can keep up with his mother just fine. But I'm worried that he may have an infection. I've already lost one chick this week, and I'm certainly not ready to lose another!
