I have a very sick Bantam Hen. A friend of ours bought her and a rooster from an auction for us, the rooster was too far gone to do anything with and unfortunately passed away. The hen started showing signs a few days later of the same illness. She has a wet sound when breathing, sneezing, diarrhea, pale comb, wheezing, and coughing. We have her isolated from our other chickens and have been giving her Tylan 50 1/2 cc two times a day for the last 5 days. This is our last day to give Tylan 50 and she is still a sick girl. We’ve also given her electrolytes in her water. She’s still eating and drinking, but all symptoms are still present. She started getting better on day 3 with no symptoms, so we held the Tylan, but after a whole day with no antibiotics- all of her symptoms came back. Can we give Tylan 50 until she’s better?? Is there any other options for us?
