She is one out of 7 12 week chicks and she's the only one we've seen previous problems with. She was always running around with the others and the most social with humans. Recently (about 3 weeks now) she's been lethargic and always laying down. She still would run and try to fly with the others and she was eating and drinking. They get fresh water and food daily. Their bowls even get washed with hot water and soap. They are free ranged and eat grass along with their food. This week she seemed more lethargic and eating/drinking less. I found her yesterday while I was cleaning the cage in the corner curled up. I brought her inside thinking she just got over heated. She won't drink on her own and she won't even eat regular food/chicken mash. I have to give her water with a spoon. I thought she was constipated so I rubbed her crop and gave her the olive oil trick. She pooped a strangel white bubbely poop mixed with blood. My dad immediatly went to the store and got some corid for her. She is drinking it but she almost seems worse today :( She pooped again the same white poop but she also pooped the normal brown poop. Is she getting better? Help please she is my baby and I don't want to lose her :( already lost 3 chickens I can't take another one dying. If you can help please do I'm open for any type of advice just please help me save my baby girl.

Sounds like you have coccidiosis, I would quickly find some corid and start all your chicks on it. Your problem sounds like the one I had with the chicks my daughter gave me. You should be able to get it any feed store. The dosage is 9.5 cc per gallon of water. Make it the only water the flock has to drink. Good luck

Oh I see you already have the corid. You should see a improvement pretty soon

I hope to see an improvement. I started the whole flock on it today and started her yesterday. She's barely drinking today and won't eat. She's also starting to make a sneezing/coughing sound. Like she's trying to blow her nose. She still won't stand or walk for me. Should I pick her up an rotate her legs for exercise?

Sorry I can't offer advice, but good luck with your baby

I'm still treating the rest of my flock. I want to make sure no one gets it. I'm sorry you had to go through that too. Itts not easy losing any loved ones especially animals.

I had 7 chicks recently that had coccidia and lost 2 of them. They were fine and then just dropped dead. The others were passing bloody watery stools. I did some research and found the DE and started them on that and the other 5 cleared up within 24 hours. Nasty stuff that coccidia is! Sorry for you loss, its sad to lose any of them.
