Sick birds?

Hi! I have.. sick(?) birds. We got our new poultry in march or February, and a quarter of what we got are all stunted and very skinny. Is there anything I can check to see if they’re sick or it’s the feed? We do give them new water every hour since it’s been in the 90s. Our birds have been dying left and right and I’m not sure why. We’ve never had this problem before and I’ve been keeping chickens since I was 5.

You might send one of the deceased birds in to your state lab for a necropsy to see what you are dealing with it. Do not freeze the body but double bag it jn plastic and refrigerate it until you send it off. Stand by for a list of state labs.

Other than that, you say these birds are about 5 months old? How many did you purchase and where did you get them? Did you have problems starting right away, or is the problem recent? Are they all the same breed? What symptoms are you seeing? What do you feed incĺuding treats?
