Sick Birds

So I purchased some hens with s a sickness I call the "chicken cold", runny nose, sneezing, coughing, and gasping. Can I eat these chickens? I dont want them to suffer and I know if i do it the right way they won't but can I eat a sick chick?

Personally, I wouldn't. But, the likelihood that you'd get sick from the meat is very low, as long as you cook it thouroughly. You could always give them a week or so and see what happens. Chickens aren't known for their long, drawn out illnesses. Usually if they're really sick, they die pretty quickly.
