Sick Chick HELP!!!!

We recently went and got some little baby chicks and one of them has a weird eye. His eye over a period of time "grows" a substance. He is the sweetest little thing ,but he acts weird too. He falls asleep on his feet! The other chicks take the time to lay down, but the poor little fellow seems weak. The other chicks struggle when I pick them up or put them on their back, but he just lays there and does nothing.(Unless one of the other chicks comes and picks on him, in that case he gets up.) Please help!!!

The most common ailment is cocci...are you using med starter?

Just 15 min ago we found him dead...thanks for the help,but hes dead now.

sorry for the loss, make sure you are feeding them medicated starter feed. (most starter feed now-a-days is medicated.) also watch the other chicks carefully for a while. they may catch whatever he had too. It sounds like Cocci. but them symptoms lead into many different problems.
