i went to check on my chicks since I hadn't in about 2 hrs and one is acting odd. It just shakes and seems to pick at nothing on the floor. They have probiotics mixed in their drinking water. I have no idea what to do it is so sad to see it acting this way it was completely fine earlier.

Picking at nothing is something many chickens do... testing something or whatever.
How old are the chicks?
What are they eating?
what bedding are you using?
whats the temp in the brooder?

They are 3 days old eating chick starter and on newspaper the temp is about 90-95. yeah i know they pick at nothing but this is obsessive and it is shaking and falling backwards the whole time. I only have 9 chicks in a large box so they have plenty of space to sleep so it is not tired. I also change the paper every couple hours.

This has nothing to do with your post but it's advised not to use newspaper with newly hatched chicks as it is slick and can cause spraddle leg. Use paper towels - or even real towels - instead. Something they can grip. And about your little one, it's hard to say. Do you know that he's been eating and drinking? Are the others picking on him? Sometimes some just don't make it, sadly. If more start this behavior, then I would be worried something is not right. If it's just this one, it could just have something physically wrong. Did you hatch these chicks yourself?

We did hatch them ourselves. There really is no picking they are very good with each other. I check on them constantly. It was eating and drinking this morning. We did lose one this morning but it was acting sick, it was all droopy looking. But this one is acting completely different. It has started to sleep a lot.
