sick chick.. please help

I just received three baby chicks one week ago, they were all two days old when I got them. A few days ago, one of them started sneezing.. And today it was blowing bubbles from its mouth and nose. I think it's also breathing only from its mouth, not nostrils, because its mouth is always open. It also has diarrhea and poos a lot more frequently than the others, and its poop smells really bad. Other than that, it is very active and is still eating and drinking, and chirping... I'm not sure what to do. But I am an animal lover, and would love to get it better instead of the other alternatives I've read about online :-(

I am so sorry about your chick.Sound like some sort of bacterial infection. You could try some Duramycin antibiotics in the water for 7 days in hopes of clearing this up. Chances are if he has something, so do the rest of them.

But as Drumstick Diva has mentioned, you might do best posting this question in our emergency section for more help....

great to have you joining the BYC flock

So sorry to hear about your chicks being sick but if you have any
egg's in the house boil them up and remove the shell and save
for later the egg you mash up and feed to your chicks about two
to three a day for five days

Put some Probiotic & Electrolyte in a gallon jug and mix pour in
to their waverer and the rest put in to the cooler for no more then
two days ......
