My chick born monday was fine but now weak and can not walk! I am already late for work.... omg.. I cleaned his vent. I think it may be his umbilical cord area. Looks inflamed. Only triple antibiotic cream I have is the kind for eyes. I put that on it. I fear it won't be alive by time I come home and I will be left with a lone chick...

Just remembered I have some mega strong iodine. I diluted it and put it on a qtip and rubbed it on his cord area.... hope I am not too late.

when you get home (if the poor babby is still alive) id give it electrolites, some herbs are exelent healers, and id look into that, on your way home (Or ask a friend to) try to get more cream, sorry luv.

I do have the chick saver electrolytes and probiotics in the water. I am really thinking its that angry looking umbilical cord area. I wish I had swabbed it with idodine like we do to newborn horses first thing.

I know this is scarry, (Id be having a panic attack rn tbh) but you need to relax...saddly things get sick, but you cannot blame yourself. The newspaper it was on looked clean but I guess you can't tell what kind of things are there on it on the microscopic level. I put idodine on the other chicks navel just to be careful.
I have fish penicillin I will try and google dosage. Can't hurt at this point.

Just look it up first, I dont know how much it works, since i am deadly alergic to that stuff @sourland please help this lady, I dont know what else to say
